Ellen is Fourteen! Our second oldest is growing up quick, she is now 14 and we are so proud of her. Keep up the good work Ellen, we love you.
She loves to sing and is now taking private lessons. She recently won first chair as an Alto in regional middle school singing [...] Joseph Anthony Celebrates his First Birthday today Our little boy turns one year old today. I can’t believe that it has already been a year since he was born and since I was a single parent while Denae was in the hospital for over a month. It has been a busy year, but filled [...] We celebrate Halloween in our home, which I know is something that we Catholics and indeed all Christians may be struggling with in their own homes. We celebrate this day for a few reasons. One is that my mother (God rest her soul) was born on this date in 1945, and she would come up [...] If you are in the Austin Area, consider attending this fine production put on by a great group of young people, including my second oldest daughter. Christian Choral Society of Austin Presents: The Music Man (click here for the PDF flyer) The Christian Choral Society of Austin is proud to present Meredith Wilson’s classic “The Music Man.” Our new little one was baptized this past Saturday. We had about 80 family and friends celebrate this joyous event with us, the kids outnumbered the adults. It was a beautiful ceremony and it was great to visit with everyone. Thanks [...] Tonight Rachel drove to the grocery store, which is across a major highway, and then we drove to a friend’s house which is about 5 miles away. Rachel drove on Parmer lane and the speed limit is 60! She did great and kept up with traffic and did better than she does driving in [...] This has been a busy weekend thus far, but it is not over yet. We started our weekend on Friday night with a Piano concert by two of our older daughters (hence the recent purchase of a baby grand piano). It was a great first season and after some initial hesitation, my boy really got into it and had a great time and learned some new skills. Who knows he may even play again next [...] Today my oldest daughter passed her written driving test and is now officially a student driver (I need to find a sign to put on my car now). We are very proud of her, she studied hard and now that hard work has paid off. We took the car out this afternoon to get gas [...] After taking a year off we are back with the neighborhood swim team for the summer program. 4 of our children are swimming this summer. What that means is that our weekends are not our own for the next 6 weeks. The swim meets start at 7:30am, which means that the kids need to be [...] |
