Joseph Anthony Celebrates his First Birthday today Our little boy turns one year old today. I can’t believe that it has already been a year since he was born and since I was a single parent while Denae was in the hospital for over a month. It has been a busy year, but filled [...] On the day we got home from our extended hospital stay (Monday March 16th), we were greeted with a beautiful cookie bouquet. My Systems Engineering co-workers from Brocade’s Southeast Federal Group. The kids really liked the cookies (as did Mom and Dad). I wanted to get a picture of it before the kids got to [...] The most frequent question I get these days is: “How are Denae and the baby doing?” I response is Joseph is doing great and Denae is recovering slowly but surely. Since there is so much interest and we haven’t blogged in over a week about anything, I felt an update was appropriate. So here goes. Denae’s recovery is turning out to be much longer than normal due to the extensive surgery that was performed (partial hysterectomy, injury to the bladder and vertical incision for the c-section), so she will be in bed for more time and will actually have a [...] Joseph Anthony Hebert was born on March 10th at 7:53am weighing 6 lbs 6oz and 18 inches long. [View with PicLens] 1234► Well less than one day to go and I am going to bed early. It has been special for me to get to know the Hebert family and I am honored to have played a part in its growth. All the medical details have been finalized, and I spent much of the day today making [...] The date is finally here, Denae will be delivering our 9th child tomorrow morning, the surgery starts at 7:30am and the doctors tell us that it will last somewhere around 3-4 hours. The baby should be out within the first 30 minutes. Since we don’t know the sex of the baby, I thought it might be [...] I have added a countdown timer to our website (http://www.hebert.austin.tx.us). This timer shows the time remaining until the baby is born on Tuesday morning. God bless The specialist (Dr. Berry) came by this afternoon to take a look at the baby and do the amniocentesis to determine if the baby is ready to be delivered. The sonogram showed the baby to be 6 lbs 8 oz and the results of the amniocentesis showed that the baby’s internal organs (lungs mainly) are [...] The power of prayer Only 8 more days to go until the C-section. The nurses say that every once in a while a patient who has placenta previa will start bleeding prior to the c-section date and when that happens things move very quickly.
